BUNCO FOR A CURE!

      The second annual "Relay for Life" Bunco event sponsored by "The Bunco Babes" of Homer will be on Thursday, April 12th @ 7:00pm at the Homer VFW Hall on M-60 just west of the village limits. Admission/Donation at the door is $10.00 with all proceeds going to "The American Cancer Society Relay for Life." The "Bunco Babes" promise lots of prizes, lots of fun and lots of good food!

  It's come to my attention that the information regarding the cell phone codes in the March bulletin did not work for some people. Apparently it only applies to certain cell phones. I apologize for any inconvenience.

APRIL RECIPE

"Cheesy Rice Bake"

(Our family tradition at holiday dinners)

• Dissolve 1 cube chicken bouillion in 2 1/2 cups of boiling water in a medium saucepan. Add one cup (C) uncooked long grain rice
• Cover. Cook over low heat 20-25 minutes, or until rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Take off cover and continue to cook until rice is dry and fluffy, 4-5 minutes.
• Add one (1) can of cream of chicken soup, 1 cup (C) cubed processed American cheese, 2/3 cup (C) "PET" Evaporated Milk and 1/4 cup (C) finely cut pimiento.
• Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in 350 degree oven 25-35 minutes, or until bubbly. Serves six (6).

We encourage credit and debit card customers to take the following steps:

Carefully review your statements for your debit card, and your American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA cards for unauthorized transactions. Open your statements promptly, and compare your receipts to your billing statements.

If you detect any unauthorized or suspicious use of your card, contact your credit card issuer or issuing bank immediately. By law, you will have no liability for unauthorized use if your credit card number, but not the card itself, has been stolen.

Obtain a free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com. You are entitled to one free annual report from each credit bureau. Carefully review your report for indications of fraud.

We suggest you carefully review your credit and debit card statements. If your review indicates unauthorized activity, you should immediately contact your credit card company or bank to inform them.

You are entitled under U.S. law to one free credit report annually from each of the three national credit bureaus.

How to obtain your report:

To order your free credit report, visit www.annualcreditreport.com, call toll-free at 877-322-8228, or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form on the U.S. Federal Trade Commissions website at www.ftc.gov and mail it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

Do not contact the three credit bureaus individually. They provide free annual credit reports only through the website or toll-free number.

What to look for:

You should notify the credit bureaus of any inaccuracies in your report, whether due to error or fraud, as soon as possible so the information can be investigated and, if found to be in error, corrected. If there are accounts or charges you did not authorize, immediately notify the appropriate credit bureau by telephone and in writing.

If you find items you dont understand on your report, call the credit bureaus at the number given on the report. Credit bureau staff will review your report with you. If the information cant be explained, then you will need to call the creditors involved.

Criminals take advantage of situations like this to try to obtain personal information like credit and debit card numbers, PINS and social security and driver's license numbers. TJ MAXX will not send emails asking for personal information or call you to confirm your personal information. If you receive an email that appears to be from TJMAXX or one of our stores, or a telephone call from someone claiming to be a representative of TJMAXX or one of our stores, do not provide any personal information (including credit or debit card number, social security number, or driver's license). If you suspect you have received such a "hoax" email or call, please report it to us, using our toll-free number.

TJMAXX has hired an outside firm to monitor the Internet to detect phishing attacks and other online fraudulent scams by criminals seeking to take advantage of our customers. We are notifying both law enforcement and ISP providers when scams are detected.
