Welcome to Daphne's newsletter, affectionately referred to as "Bunny Bulletins" in honor and memory of my loving bunnies that have given me so much joy over the years.

I'm always looking for new ideas to share with my clients. Your input is greatly appreciated. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I love the month of March!! It gives us wonderful glimmers and hints of spring. The groundhog did not see his shadow in February which means spring is just around the corner.

Everyday new items are arriving for the shop- much of it purchased during my buying trip to Chicago in January including:

  • Vintage decor including bottle brush wreaths, topiaries and robins.
  • Beautiful wood signs with great family quotes
  • A new collection of framed artwork
  • Decadent hot cocoa mix (you won't believe how creamy it is).
  • Bird nests of all types
  • Bunnies made out of pussywillows.
  • Spring botanical arrangements
  • Strawberry plates and salt & peppers
  • Ornate ginger jars
Stop by to see many more new items

Phone Tips-What Cell Phone Carriers Do Not Want You To Know
Submitted by Bob Brown

Here is something worth knowing if you have a mobile phone ...

Have you ever wondered why phone companies don't seem interested in trying
to prevent the theft of mobile phones? If you have ever lost, or had one
stolen, and if you are on a plan, you still have to pay the plan
approximately up to 24 months, and you have to buy another handset and
enter into another contract. This is more revenue for the phone company.

There is a simple way of making lost or stolen mobiles useless to thieves
and the phone companies know about it, but keep it quiet.
To check your mobile phone's serial number, key in the following on your
phone:

star-pound sign-zero-six-pound sign ( * # 0 6 # ) and a fifteen digit
code will appear on the screen. This is unique to your handset. Write it
down and keep it safe. Should your mobile phone get stolen, you can phone
your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to
block your handset, so even if the thief changes the sim card, your phone
will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever
stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody did this, there would be no
point in stealing mobile phones.

You may want to send this to as many people with mobiles as possible.

Also, noteworthy is the following:

No charge for directory assistance: Phone companies are charging us $1.00
or more for 411 - information calls when they don't have to.

When you need
to use the 411 / information option... simply dial 1-800-FREE-411 or 1 800
373 3411 without incurring a charge.

Well, the big news for this month is that I am now officially three (3) years cancer free!!!!! We had a scare in February. I went in for my four month check up and my surgeon found a suspicious spot on one of my tonsils (Yes, I still had them!!!). I had surgery on February 15th and both tonsils were removed and sent to pathology. Jerry and I went in to see the doctor for a follow up visit on February 21st fully expecting the bad news. Well, the Dr. said it was NOT cancer.!! It was a non- malignant cyst. Once I got my composure back, I was filled with joy. I have a very sore throat and living on popsicles and broth, but that's OK!
